Dear friends:
After you read the following Reuters report, please take a minute to write to
the U.N. Human Rights Commissioner, Mary Robinson, expressing your thoughts
and concerns. I am giving her address below.

I wonder why didn't the U.N. Human Rights Commissioner, visit the area before to protest/ discuss/ bring awareness to/ put an end to the human rights abuses against the Christians in the Middle East.

Does not she know that the Christian minority in Egypt is being severely
persecuted by the Egyptian Government and the Muslim extremists.

Or perhaps she does not know that 2 million Christians were murdered in Sudan by the Islamic government of Sudan?

Or perhaps she does not know that Christians living in Saudi Arabia are not allowed to carry their Bibles, hold Bible Study meetings, or build Churches or Christian schools for their children.

One can safely assume that U.N. Human Rights Commissioner knows all the
above. If she knew, how can she explain her lack of action regarding all these severe atrocities?

It is quite obvious that the United Nations Human Rights Commissioner is playing favoritism.

UN rights chief meets Arab League head on Mideast

CAIRO,Nov 14 (Reuters) - UN Human Rights Commissioner Mary Robinson held
talks in Egypt on Tuesday on her assessment of human rights developments during seven weeks of Israeli-Palestinian clashes.

The former Irish president said she and Arab League Secretary-General Esmat
Abdel-Meguid had discussed the "very difficult human rights situations" she had witnessed.

"I will be making my report to the (UN Human Rights) Commission in December," Robinson told reporters after the talks at the Cairo-based Arab League.

At least 214 people, almost all of them Palestinian, have been killed in
seven weeks of the worst violence between Israelis and Palestinians in recent years.

Robinson also held talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa. She told reporters after the meeting that she would conclude her tour by meeting
Palestinian President Yasser Arafat on Wednesday, before compiling her report.

She said the issue of providing international protection, a key request of the Palestinians, had arisen in many of her meetings. Robinson said some
children had presented her with a touching letter calling for the provision of protection.

On Sunday, a bullet hit a car in Robinson's convoy as she visited the West Bank town of Hebron.

It was unclear who fired at the three-vehicle convoy as Robinson visited the divided town, an aide said. She was not in the car hit by the bullet and no one was hurt.

She was touring the West Bank and Gaza to investigate complaints by Palestinians that Israeli soldiers have been using excessive force against Palestinian stone-throwers and gunmen.

The shooting erupted shortly after Israeli soldiers and Palestinian gunmen exchanged fire in a nearby area of Hebron, one of the flashpoints.

Abdel-Meguid said he hoped Robinson's report would lead to action on what he said were many violations of basic human rights.

"What's important to us today is to try and help our  Palestinian brothers who are (suffering from) dire  circumstances," he told reporters.
